Be carefull not to tighten this screw too much. You may cut the copper trace.

You may use an isolating washer as well. They have been used for PC motherboards some time ago for the same reason. I should still possess plenty of them somewhere...

Update

So finally, about 5 hours later... all the boards have been tested and are working perfectly! Inserted the CR2032 battery, set the RTC, screwed them into the case, flashed PicoMiteHDMIWEBV6.03.02b1.uf2, and then ran the hardware profiler program. All tests completed, including Wi-Fi. https://www.thebackshed.com/forum/ViewTopic.php?TID=19034&PID=258001#258001#258001
You’ll find the log on drive A:. I also stuck the chip’s unique ID under the case. That way, you can tell them apart.
I’m not going to test all the VGA adapters right now.
Tomorrow I’ll start packing the packages and printing the shipping labels. They might go out as early as Saturday, otherwise on Monday!
So everything is going according to plan.

Matthias

Update:
Läuft also nach Plan.

Ja is denn heit scho Weihnacht'n? (Zitat Beckenbauer)

Darum jetzt schon mal meinen herzlichsten Dank.

It's not self-evident that you put in so much effort. You already know that all you can do is unpack and get started. So now I would like to thank you very much.
Best wishes! Joachim

Matthias,

many thanks for all the effort you did and still do put into that order for us. I wouldn't have expected you to act as the incoming QC department, but you do   and you do it painstakingly.

Many thanks again,
Gerald

  Volhout said  Hi Homa,

If one drops out, I would be more than willing to take a board, or set.

Hello Volhout,

I'm planning to organize a group order after thoroughly testing the Pico Computer 3 and finding it to be a good product. If you're interested, please leave a comment here. I'll add you to the list.

Hi Matthias,

I’d like to thank you very much for your efforts. I really appreciate it.

Unfortunately, the five sets I ordered have already all been sold, but I’m planning to organize my own group order.

UPDATE

Vielen Dank!

The packages are packed; all that’s missing is the packing material, and then they can be shipped tomorrow!

Except for a few minor issues, everything went smoothly. Pre-ordering the storage device and the Wi-Fi module also worked out.
I do still have one small problem, though. Aside from minor additional costs like the international credit card fee or the PayPal surcharge—all part of the learning process—I also received a few tips here and there. Thanks for those!  So I’ll cover the cost of the CR2032 battery!

But I miscalculated the cost of the HDMI-to-VGA adapter. JLCPCB also charged a hefty surcharge.
In the end, the total cost has doubled. Instead of 4.30 euros, it’s now 8.60 euros (Don't forget the sales tax).
Since 4.30 euros × 19 units equals 81.70 euros, I’d appreciate it if the people affected could cover the difference. Thank you very much!

Selbstbau-Setpreis 5,- EUR

One last thing for the DIYers. PLEASE NOTE: I only have 7 sets to give away, and not all the parts have arrived yet! So if you’d like a DIY kit for a breadboard breakout adapter included in your package, let me know here quickly, but it will be shipped later.
I’ve included a 40-pin adapter next to the required 30-pin one for the PC3 for comparison. The connectors are really hard to find. I think IDE had 32 pins—those are a dime a dozen.

DIY kit price: 5.00 EUR

Viel Spaß!
Matthias

@homa:

Hi Matthias,

what do I still owe you? I'd love to buy one of those DIY kits from you.
