I have both at present, though last night the internet dropped out completely here. The modem LEDs indicated indicated DSL and internet were still on but could not access any sites. Something odd going on... |

Weird... I've changed my DNS from the defaults over DHCP to the Google ones. Still nothing. My ISP can't reach the site either, so that bypasses everything at my end anyway. I've tried http: rather than https: - still nothing (but I expected that). @circuit Would you mind letting me know which ISP you are using? I'll try raising another ticket with that info and the outputs from ping and tracert. They may still do nothing though as the route breaks on the other side of the world! Germany ok, It looks as though it’s down to the DNS provider. It works for me, although I use DNS addresses 86.54.11.13 86.54.11.1 (within Pihole) They belong to the public DNS service DNS4EU, an initiative funded by the European Union to improve data protection and security. This resolver is operated and managed by the DNS4EU consortium of the same name. it seems to work even if you connect from outside the EU OPTION IPv4 ADDRESS Protective 86.54.11.1 Protective + Child Protection 86.54.11.12 Protective + Ad Blocking 86.54.11.13 Protective + Child Protection + Ad Blocking 86.54.11.11 Unfiltered 86.54.11.100 Cheers Martin Edited 2026-07-14 22:44 by Martin H. Thanks Martin. :) As a matter of interest I'd been wondering if there was a public DNS based in the EU that I could use. Works perfectly in Blackburn, bud. When I want to access Bitchute that was blocked by Starmer, I simply use the Tor browser which makes it look like I'm in Switzerland. No cost. |

My ISP (YouFibre) is a relatively new (2019) startup FTTP company. So far I've been pretty impressed, but it looks like they have a routing problem somewhere at the moment. They pair with Netomnia for the hardware network so you can't just assume that because an Openreach-carried ISP works this one will. We'll see what their tech people come up with.
